Official Guidelines & Player Eligibility

Squad & Player Eligibility
1. Each team may register a squad of twenty-one players.
2. The squad shall include seven players over the age of 40, seven over the age of 45, and seven over the age of 50.
- Over 40 - Born 1986 - 1982
- Over 45 - Born 1981 - 1977
- Over 50 - Born 1976 or earlier
Age restrictions apply only to the younger groups; older group have no upper age limit. If no eligible players are available in the over-40 group, players from the over-45 group may be used, and so on.
3. A maximum of three non-resident players may be included in the twenty-one-player squad. Only two non-resident players may be included in the active match-day line-up.

Player Identification & Matchwear
5. Colour-coded bands must be worn to identify the different age groups and must be worn for the full duration of the match.
- Light blue: Over 40 (born 1986 - 1982)
- Blue: Over 45 (born 1981 - 1977)
- Red: Over 50 (born 1976 or earlier)
6. Every player must present a fully verified British Football Federation (BTFF) identification card for identification purposes.
7. Players who have registered their shirt numbers online must wear shirts bearing those same numbers during the match and every match.

Matchday Squad, Substitutions & Walkovers
4. On match day, each team fields a starting line-up of nine players plus five substitutes. Roll-on/roll-off substitutions are permitted only for players over the age of fifty.
8. BTFF officials are responsible for overseeing the substitute players.
9. Teams must submit their starting line-up to the officials at least 15 minutes before kick-off. The minimum number of players to start the match is six. If one team does not turn up on time, the opposite team will be awarded the 3 nil win. (In the event of the League of Champions and 2nd place calculation, walkover goals will not be counted and matches against the walkover team for champion and 2nd place.)
10. Every time a substitution occurs, BTFF officials must notify the referee and communicate with them.

Cards & Disciplinary Guidelines
14. A player shown a red card is suspended from the next match.
- Abusive language / intent: 2-match ban.
- Violent conduct: 3-match ban.
- Inhuman conduct: 6-match ban.

League Points, Disputes & Protests
15. The Premier League ranking and points system shall be used as the official guide for league standings. Win 3 points and draw 1 point. (In case of equal points - Goal difference - number of goals scored, head-to-head, and remain equal, an extra match will determine the winner).
17. In the event of any dispute or arbitration, the decision of the BTFF is final.
19. All complaints or disputes must be channelled through the team captain or manager.
20. Each protest must be registered with the BTFF official using a protest form and a £20 fee per protest before the match finishes. If the protest is upheld, the money will be returned.
